![]() Yesterday, Wadlow took to Twitter – as he has been doing in the days leading up to production – to confirm that the film had found its Colonel. At the time, it seemed like a perfect role for Carrey, who most recently wrapped production on The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, and now it appears Universal may have gotten their wish. ![]() The newest rumor was that Universal was very interested in casting Jim Carrey for the role of The Colonel, better known to Kick-Ass fans as Colonel Stars. Still, as with any good sequel, there were many more roles to go around, a few of which had yet to be filled. While many of the first film's major players have already been tapped to reprise their roles, a few newcomers have also been added to the mix including Donald Faison (Doctor Gravity) and John Leguizamo (Red Mist's bodyguard Javier). With only a few more days until cameras start rolling on Kick-Ass 2, the movie's production has now hit a breakneck pace, trying to get all of its ducks in a row. UPDATE: Kick-Ass 2 co-creator Mark Millar has confirmed that Carrey is joining the film as The Colonel.
